Boom 3D is an applet that will allow you to customize your computer's surround sound output. Beyond allowing you to equalize the audio on your system, Boom 3D provides options to boost your bass and otherwise fine-tune your audio. It runs in the background and doesn't use up much processing power. Of particular note is its compatibility with headphones: it works as well with two small speakers as with five large ones. Hardware compatibility is potentially this software's best aspect, alongside its overall usability. The interface looks fairly nice, as well.
